QR TIGER is one of the few generators with a permanent free plan that includes dynamic codes, but it allows 3 of them with 500 scans each, and paid dynamic codes stop working if the plan expires. QRfinity gives you unlimited dynamic codes with no scan cap and no plan to expire.

What happens when the trial ends?
QR TIGER doesn’t run a time-limited trial for its free plan. It describes it as “a subscription plan that’s totally free with no expiry”, with no credit card, unlimited static codes and 3 dynamic codes limited to 500 scans each. That is more generous than most of the market, and worth saying plainly.
Two things are less clear. One QR TIGER page says free dynamic codes “might expire, depending on your subscription plan”, which doesn’t sit easily with the no-expiry wording above. And we couldn’t find a page that says what a free code does once it reaches 500 scans. If you plan to print a free QR TIGER dynamic code on something busy, such as packaging or a shop window, ask them first.
Paid plans are spelled out in the FAQ: “Dynamic QRs have unlimited scans with a valid subscription. If your plan expires, it will stop working.” It adds that data is retained “for a maximum period of 1 year”, after which it may be removed. Their terms say the same, and note the period can be extended on request.
QRfinity has no plan for a code to expire with. Dynamic codes are free with an account, unlimited in number and scans, and we never pause them for not paying.
Where QR TIGER is better
- Integrations and an API. QR TIGER connects to Zapier, HubSpot, Canva, Monday.com and Google Analytics, and includes 3,000 API requests a month on Advanced and 10,000 on Premium.
- CSV bulk creation of up to 3,000 URL, vCard or text codes on Advanced and above.
- Compliance claims. QR TIGER says it holds ISO 27001 certification and complies with GDPR and CCPA. We hold no certifications yet.
- Resolution choices from 256 px up to 4K.
- Room to grow on one platform. Premium (USD 37 a month) covers 600 dynamic codes and Professional (USD 89 a month) 1,200, both billed annually at the time of checking. QRfinity is new, launched in 2026, and run by a small team.
If your workflow depends on integrations, an API, bulk creation or a certified vendor today, QR TIGER is the better choice.
Where QRfinity is better
- No cap on dynamic codes or scans. Make as many dynamic codes as you need, and each can be scanned as often as people want, at no cost.
- Nothing to renew. Our codes don’t depend on a subscription, so there’s no expiry date to track and no data-deletion clock.
- No watermark, no account for static codes. PNG and JPG are free; print-ready SVG, PDF and EPS come with any paid plan.
- A live scan check. As you design with patterns, corner styles, gradients, a logo and a framed caption, we decode the code the way a phone would.
- Privacy by default. Our analytics show total and unique scans, devices and countries for up to 2 years, and we don’t store raw IP addresses.
How to switch
- Static codes: keep them. QR TIGER says its static codes never expire and “will remain functional”, so there’s nothing to replace.
- Free-plan dynamic codes: if a code is close to its 500-scan limit, replace it first. Make a QRfinity dynamic code pointing to the same page and swap it in wherever the old one is printed.
- Paid dynamic codes: they can’t be transferred, because the short link inside each one belongs to QR TIGER. Keep your plan running until the printed codes are replaced, or replace them gradually as materials are reprinted.
- New codes: make them with QRfinity, so you never have a renewal deciding whether your print still works.
