Both make static codes that never expire. Where they part ways is dynamic codes: QRFY’s stop redirecting when its 7-day trial ends unless you buy a plan of at least 3 months, while QRfinity’s are free with an account and keep working with no trial at all.

What happens when the trial ends?
QRFY’s trial lasts 7 days and covers both dynamic and static code types. It collects no card at sign-up, so, in QRFY’s words, “it is physically impossible for us to charge you”. You don’t need to cancel anything if you decide not to continue.
The catch is what happens to anything you printed in those 7 days. Their help centre says dynamic codes made during the trial “will stop working (deactivate) once the trial ends” and send scanners to a service page instead. QRFY emails you 48 hours before the trial ends and again after the codes are deactivated.
To bring the codes back you upgrade the same account; a new account or a new code won’t revive them. How long you have to do that is less clear. The pricing page says your data and designs are stored for 30 days, while a support article on reactivation says there is no time limit. If you’re relying on either, confirm with QRFY.
Buying a plan is a commitment of at least 3 months. Support confirms there is no monthly option: contracts run for a quarter, half a year or a year. If you later cancel, codes stay active until the paid period ends, and unused months aren’t refunded.
QRfinity skips all of this. There’s no trial clock and no contract, and our dynamic codes keep working whether or not you ever pay.
Where QRFY is better
- Unlimited everything on paid plans. Every plan includes unlimited dynamic codes, unlimited scans and unlimited users. We don’t offer team seats yet.
- Bulk creation by CSV or REST API, up to 500 codes per file with no daily limit. We have neither bulk creation nor an API today.
- Retargeting pixels and templates. QRFY offers design templates and Google and Facebook pixel integration. We don’t offer pixels.
- A trial with no surprise charge. No card is taken at sign-up, so trying the paid features costs nothing.
QRfinity is also new, launched in 2026 and run by a small team. If you need many users, bulk or API creation, or retargeting today, QRFY is the better choice.
Where QRfinity is better
- No contract for dynamic codes. You don’t have to commit to 3, 6 or 12 months to keep a code working. Ours are free with an email link or Google sign-in.
- Codes that outlive any trial. There’s no 7-day window, no reminder emails and no service page replacing your destination.
- No watermark, no account for static codes. PNG and JPG are free; print-ready SVG, PDF and EPS come with any paid plan, monthly or yearly.
- Full design and a scan check up front. Patterns, corners, colours and gradients, a logo, and a frame with text, checked live so you know the code scans before you print.
- Analytics without raw IPs. Total and unique scans, devices and countries, with up to 2 years of history, at no cost.
How to switch
Start with an inventory of what you’ve printed.
Static QRFY codes don’t need replacing. QRFY says they “will remain active forever”, including after a trial ends.
Dynamic QRFY codes can’t be moved. Each one points to a short link that only QRFY controls, so another service can’t take it over. If you’re on a paid plan, use the rest of your term to replace printed codes with QRfinity ones. If your trial has already ended, those codes are no longer redirecting, so replace the ones that matter first.
For anything new, make a dynamic code with QRfinity, scan it with your own phone, and print. You can change where it points later without reprinting.
