Terms of service
Effective October 16, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Teknoffice Technologies Inc. ("we", "us"), the company that runs QRfinity at qrfinity.com and qrfinity.link. By using QRfinity you agree to them.
1. What QRfinity is
QRfinity is a free QR code generator.
- Static codes hold your content (a link, Wi-Fi details, a contact card and so on) inside the code itself. You make them in your browser, without an account, and they don't depend on us after you download them.
- Dynamic codes hold a short link on qrfinity.link that sends people to a destination you choose. You need a free account so that only you can change the destination. We count scans so you can see analytics.
2. Your account
Sign in with an email link or with Google. Keep access to your email account secure: anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. One account per person; accounts can't be shared or sold. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
3. Our promises
These are part of the agreement:
- Codes never expire. We will never deactivate a code because of time, a trial ending, inactivity, scan volume or not paying.
- No watermark and no forced branding on the codes you download.
- A dynamic code stops sending people to its destination only if:
- you pause or delete it, or delete your account;
- we turn it off because it breaks our acceptable use policy; or
- a court or the law requires it.
- If we ever stop operating QRfinity, we will give at least 12 months' notice, keep dynamic codes redirecting during that time, and let you export every destination.
We can't amend this section to take these promises away from codes that already exist.
4. Acceptable use
You must follow our acceptable use policy. In short: no phishing, malware, scams, illegal content or anything that harms the people who scan your codes. We check destinations automatically and review reports, and we turn off codes that break the policy.
5. Your content
You own what you put into QRfinity: your links, text, logos and designs. You give us permission to store, process and display it, and to redirect scans, only as needed to run the service. Logos you add in the generator stay in your browser unless you save them with a design in your account.
You promise you have the right to use what you upload, including logos and trademarks.
6. Analytics
For dynamic codes we record each scan: when it happened, the approximate place (country, region and city), the kind of device, operating system, browser, and the website that referred it. We never store IP addresses. Our privacy policy explains how.
7. Paid plans
Many features are free. A paid plan (Plus, Pro or Unlimited) adds others, such as SVG, PDF and EPS downloads and more contact card templates, and lets you use advanced features, such as custom short links, redirect rules, password protection, split traffic and date or scan limits, on more codes than the free allowance. What each plan includes and costs is on our pricing page. A date or scan limit is something you set: once it's reached, scans go to the page you chose, and the code keeps working.
-
Plans and features can change. As QRfinity grows, or if costs, the law or other circumstances change in ways we can't foresee, we may change what's free, what each plan includes, and prices. Descriptions of QRfinity on our website, in emails and in marketing explain the service as it is when you read them; they aren't promises about the future, and only these terms bind us. We'll email you at least 30 days before a change reduces a plan you pay for, and you can cancel before it applies. A change never takes away the promises in section 3 from codes you've already made.
-
Free trial. Your first plan is free for 30 days. You add a card when you start it, and we charge it when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. We email you before the trial ends. One free trial per person.
-
Payment. Payments are handled by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars and don't include tax; we add sales tax, VAT or GST where the law requires it, based on your billing address, and show it before you pay.
-
Renewal. A plan renews automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. We'll email you at least 30 days before a price change applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.
-
Cancelling. Cancel any time from your account page (Manage plan and billing). Your plan stays until the end of the period you've paid for and then doesn't renew.
-
Changing plan. Moving to a bigger plan applies right away, and you pay the difference for the rest of the period. Moving to a smaller plan, or from yearly to monthly, applies at the end of the period you've paid for.
-
Refunds. If you ask within 14 days of your first payment for a plan, we refund it in full; email hello@qrfinity.com. Renewals aren't refunded, except where the law requires it.
-
Failed payments. If a renewal fails, Stripe retries it over the following weeks and we email you; your plan stays in the meantime. If it still can't be collected, the plan ends. If the first payment after a free trial fails, the plan stops applying straight away and comes back once the payment goes through.
-
When a plan ends or stops applying, for any reason, every code keeps working, and so does every custom short link: nothing you printed breaks. Advanced features stay on as many codes as the free allowance covers, starting with your oldest. On the others, redirect rules, split traffic, date and scan limits (and other advanced features that change where a scan goes) pause, and scans go to the code's main destination. Password protection never pauses: a protected code stays protected until you remove the password. Contact pages that use a template beyond the free ones switch to a free template. Files you've already downloaded are yours to keep. Everything switches back on if you choose a plan again.
-
Deleting your account ends your plan immediately, and you won't be charged again.
8. Suspension and ending
You can delete your account at any time from your account page. Deleting your account deletes your dynamic codes; static codes you downloaded keep working.
We may suspend your account if you break these terms or the acceptable use policy. A suspended account can't sign in. Its codes keep working unless we turn them off individually for breaking the policy.
9. Disclaimers
We work hard to keep QRfinity running, but we provide it "as is". We don't promise it will always be available or free of errors. Check that your codes scan before you print them; the scan check in the generator helps but can't guarantee every printer, surface and phone.
10. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or reprinting costs, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of CAD $100 and the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be limited.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date above and, for important changes, email account holders at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Section 3 can't be changed to remove promises from existing codes.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the consumer protection law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
If you have a problem, please email us first at legal@qrfinity.com. Most issues can be solved quickly that way.
