To print Amazon FNSKU labels, get each product’s FNSKU from Seller Central, make a label with the barcode, the FNSKU, the product title and the condition, and print it at 100% on a thermal printer or a sheet of labels. Our FNSKU label generator makes the label at your printer’s exact resolution, so the bars print crisp and Amazon’s warehouse scanners read them first time.
Step 1: Find your FNSKUs
In Seller Central, open Inventory, then Manage FBA inventory. The FNSKU is the 10-character code shown for each product, usually starting with X00. If you have many products, download the inventory report: its FNSKU and product name columns paste straight into the bulk generator.
Step 2: Pick your printer and label size
| Printer | Label | Choose in the generator |
|---|---|---|
| Zebra, Rollo, MUNBYN and other 4-inch thermal printers | 2.25 × 1.25 in rolls | 2.25 × 1.25 in thermal, 203 or 300 dpi |
| DYMO LabelWriter | DYMO 30334 (2.25 × 1.25 in) | 2.25 × 1.25 in thermal |
| Smaller thermal rolls | 2 × 1 in | 2 × 1 in thermal |
| Laser or inkjet printer | 30 per US Letter sheet (like Avery 5160) or A4 sheets | The matching sheet size |
Check your printer’s resolution on its label or spec sheet: most Zebra and Rollo printers are 203 dpi; some are 300 dpi.
Step 3: Make the labels
- Open the FNSKU label generator and enter the FNSKU.
- Add the product title. Long titles are shortened with an ellipsis in the middle, as Amazon allows.
- Choose the condition (New, Used – Like New and so on).
- Pick your label size and printer resolution, and check the scan test passes.
- Download the PNG (free), or a PDF or ZPL file with a paid plan.
For a whole shipment, use the bulk generator: one label per row, all in one download.
Step 4: Print at 100%
This is where most label problems come from.
- Turn off “fit to page” or “scale”. Choose actual size or 100%. Scaling changes bar widths and makes some bars thicker than others.
- Set the paper size to your label size in the printer dialog, not Letter or A4, when printing to a thermal printer.
- Zebra printers: for the sharpest result, send the ZPL file; the printer draws the barcode itself.
- Label sheets: print one test page on plain paper first and hold it over a label sheet to check alignment.
Step 5: Check before you ship
- Scan a printed label with a phone scanner app or a barcode gun: it should read the FNSKU exactly.
- Make sure the label covers any original UPC or EAN on the item.
- Use labels that peel off cleanly; Amazon asks for removable adhesive on most items.
Labels won’t scan?
- Faint print: clean the print head and raise the darkness setting on a thermal printer.
- Uneven bars: you printed at a scale other than 100%, or used an image made for another dpi. Download the label for your printer’s resolution.
- Label cut off: the printer’s label size doesn’t match the roll. Set it in the printer settings, then calibrate the printer.
