Uniqode is built for businesses that need security reviews, integrations and teams; QRfinity is built so that anyone can make dynamic codes that keep working for free. Both make permanent static codes. The gap is dynamic codes: Uniqode’s become inactive after its 14-day trial unless you pay, and ours never do.

What happens when the trial ends?
Uniqode offers a 14-day trial and no permanent free tier for dynamic codes. Its pricing FAQ is direct about the end of it: “Any dynamic QR Codes you created will become inactive, and you’ll need to upgrade to a paid plan to keep them active and accessible.” Those codes stop redirecting and tracking pauses. Static codes “will continue to work, but you won’t be able to access the account anymore”.
Whether you can revive them later depends on which help article you read. One says trial codes are disabled automatically and that upgrading reactivates them. An older one says that to reactivate dynamic codes “you must upgrade to a paid plan before your trial period expires”, on the same account. If you’ve printed trial codes, check with Uniqode before the 14 days are up rather than after.
Paying is an annual commitment. Starter is about USD 5 a month billed annually for 3 dynamic codes; the next tiers are Lite at USD 15 a month (50 codes), Pro at USD 49 (250) and Plus at USD 99 (500), all annual. One Uniqode page lists a USD 9 Starter with 15 codes instead, so their pages differ on the entry plan.
With QRfinity there’s no trial to plan around and no annual bill. Dynamic codes are free and unlimited with an account, with no scan cap.
Where Uniqode is better
- Security and compliance. Uniqode lists SSO, MFA, GDPR, SOC 2 Type 2, HIPAA and ISO 27001:2022. We have no SSO or certifications. If your security team needs these, Uniqode is the right choice.
- An API and integrations with GA4, Google Sheets, Slack, Zapier and Make on mid and upper tiers; Uniqode’s pages differ on exactly which tier unlocks them.
- Bulk creation of 250 dynamic codes per batch from the USD 49 plan, 2,000 on Business+, plus digital business cards.
- Room to scale. Annual plans go up to 500 dynamic codes on Plus, with scan allowances up to 1,000,000 a year on Pro. QRfinity has no team seats yet, and we’re a new company, launched in 2026.
If you need bulk creation, an API, integrations, team seats or compliance paperwork today, Uniqode is the better choice.
Where QRfinity is better
- Free dynamic codes, without a cap of 3. Make as many as you need and edit where they point whenever you like.
- No scan limit. We don’t count scans against an allowance, monthly or yearly.
- No account for static codes. They download as PNG or JPG with no sign-up and no watermark; SVG, PDF and EPS come with any paid plan.
- Design and checking for everyone. Patterns, corner styles, colours and gradients, a logo, and a frame with text, with a live scan check before you download.
- Simple, private analytics. Total and unique scans, devices and countries over up to 2 years, without storing raw IP addresses.
How to switch
- List your codes by type. Uniqode’s static codes are permanent and keep working after a trial or account ends, so they can stay where they are.
- Keep Uniqode while you replace dynamic codes. They can’t be transferred, because the short link in each code is on Uniqode’s domain. If you’re on an annual plan, you have until renewal to swap printed codes for QRfinity ones.
- Start with the busiest placements. Replace the codes on signs, packaging and menus first, and let low-traffic ones follow at their next reprint.
- Make new codes in QRfinity. Sign in with an email link or Google, create a dynamic code, test it, and print.
