QR codes save class time: students scan a worksheet to open the video, scan the board to answer an exit ticket, scan a poster to find the club sign-up form. For the school office, they put newsletters, events and payments a scan away for parents. QRfinity’s codes are free, need no student accounts, and never expire.

One code, every week

Print a dynamic code once, on the noticeboard, the planner or the fridge magnet, and point it at whatever is current: this week’s newsletter, this term’s timetable, the next parents’ evening. Change it from your dashboard, or set a date to switch automatically.

Tips for the classroom

  • Make codes big enough for tablets. At least 3 cm on worksheets, 15 cm on a board or poster for the back row.
  • Label every code. “Video: photosynthesis” tells students and parents what they’re about to open.
  • Test on school devices. School filters can block some sites; scan from a student tablet before the lesson.
  • Keep a link for students without a device, printed under the code.

Privacy

Static codes have nothing in between: they open the content directly and nobody is counted. Dynamic codes count scans without storing IP addresses, names or accounts, and site analytics never run on our short links. See our privacy policy.

Questions people ask

Do students need an account to scan?

No. Scanning needs only a phone or tablet camera. Teachers don’t need an account for static codes either; a free account is only for dynamic codes you want to edit and track.

Do you track the students who scan?

No. Dynamic codes count scans, devices and countries, without names, accounts or stored IP addresses. Static codes go straight to their content with nothing in between, so nothing is counted at all.

Can I reuse a worksheet next year with a different video?

Yes, with a dynamic code. Point it at the new video or form from your dashboard, and last year’s printed worksheets work with the new content.

Can I make a code for the school Wi-Fi?

Yes, for a guest or visitor network. Phones join without typing the password. Don’t put the staff or student network’s password on a printed code.

Does it cost anything?

Static and dynamic codes, scan counts and PNG and JPG downloads are free, and codes never expire. Paid plans add SVG, PDF and EPS files and advanced features on more codes.
