What a Reddit QR code does
A Reddit QR code opens your subreddit, profile or a particular thread in one scan. It brings people from a poster, a stall or a meetup straight into the conversation, without typing r/ and hoping they spelled it right.
Moderators put them on meetup flyers and convention badges, game and hobby shops on posters for the local subreddit, and creators on slides for an AMA.
How to make a Reddit QR code
- Copy the address of your subreddit, profile or thread.
- Paste it into Website address. The Reddit logo is added automatically.
- Choose static or dynamic. Dynamic lets you point it at a new thread later and counts scans.
- Make it yours. Pick colours and a frame like “Join r/yourcity”.
- Download or save. Download a static code right away, or save a dynamic code to your free account.

Design and print tips
- Write the r/ name under the code, for anyone who would rather search.
- Say what’s there. “Weekly meetups and trades” earns more scans than the name alone.
- Reddit orange for the frame. Keep the code itself dark on a light background.
- Size it for the distance. 3 cm on flyers, 20 cm or more on posters.
Static or dynamic?
Either works
A static code is fine for a subreddit or profile that won’t move. Choose dynamic to point the same print at a new thread or event, and to see how many people scanned each poster.
