What an X QR code does
An X QR code opens your profile in one scan, so people can follow you without typing a handle full of underscores or picking you out of look-alike accounts.
Speakers put them on their last slide, journalists and writers on business cards, brands on packaging and event screens, and support teams on receipts for quick help.
How to make an X QR code
- Check that Social and X (Twitter) are selected. This page loads the Social type with X chosen as the Platform.
- Enter your handle. Type it with or without the @, or paste your profile link.
- Choose static or dynamic. Static works forever with nothing in between. Dynamic lets you change where it goes later and counts scans.
- Make it yours. The X logo is already in the middle. Pick colours and a frame like “Follow for updates”.
- Download or save. Download a static code right away, or save a dynamic code to your free account.

Design and print tips
- Say what people get. “Live updates from the conference” beats a bare logo.
- Print the @handle as well, for anyone who would rather search.
- On slides, leave it up. Make the code at least a metre wide on screen and keep it there during questions.
- Black and white suits X. Its own colours are black and white, which also scan best.
Static or dynamic?
Either works
If your handle is settled, a static code works forever. Choose dynamic to point the code at a pinned post or a new account later, or to count scans from each slide, badge and poster.
